Instead, you decide how much you want to contribute toward the costs of running them. This is the donation economy. By turning on its head the capitalist assumption that everything has a price, the donation economy, rather than enticing us into provider / consumer relationships, invites us to explore economic relationships which contribute towards the culture of sharing we so badly need to overcome the challenges of the 21st century. We don’t want to enter into a relationship with you as the providers of a service that can be bought. We want to enter into a wholehearted human relationship in which we can work collaboratively at transforming ourselves and the world. There is no correct sum to give. The amount depends upon your ability to give and how much you value what we offer. While your proposed contribution is an element in accepting your application, it is by no mean the only one. Your proposed financial contribution for this trip (€) If your application is accepted, half of this will need to be paid to secure your place. The balance is paid when joining the boat.
